How did you come to start this show?
As a teenager, music was a way to get away from reality. Music allowed me to get escape from the anguishes of teenagehood. At first, I was mostly listening to punk and post-punk artists such as Berurier Noir, Les Garcons Bouchers, Jesus and the Mary Chain, The Cure and Joy Division. I moved to Sherbrooke to get an education (Master Degree in History). Then I discovered community and college radios. While listening to these radios, I discovered many fascinating artists and music genres. I was amazed by the diversity of the underground culture. At that time, I wanted to learn more about all the different scenes. However, most radio shows were only focusing on one musical style : punk, metal, ska. I was listening to a lot of different styles that's why I've decided to set up a show in which a could freely blend all types of underground music.

How much time is spent in developing it?
It honestly took a while before I could overcome some of my fears. I was afraid that people would not be interested by this kind of exotic music mixture. Then I decided to go for it, I slowly started to set up the project. I first tried to get in touch with independent labels. I received a lot of cds and met interesting people from all over the world. Afterwards, I started to build up the show's website. I'm currently working on a webzine project called Scolopendra. This webzine will soon be linked to my radio show.

What is the scene in Sherbrooke like?
The Sherbrooke scene is very rich and diversified. We get to ear all types of bands : metal, hardcore, ska, garage punk, and pop punk. We also have an interesting Jazz and Blues scene. Musically speaking, Sherbrooke can be quite stimulating.
